Photo exhibition ‘Different Women, One Love’ at Leica World in Wetzlar: 8 March to 3 May 2026
Sunday, 8 March 2026 is the big day: at 10 a.m., Leica World in Wetzlar will host the opening of the first joint exhibition by ‘She shoots Leica’.

#She_Shoots_Leica, a collective of women photographers, stands for greater visibility for women working in the medium. They draw attention through empowerment and their own magazine.

In collaboration with the Leica Store Stuttgart, photographer Bettina Meister held a portrait workshop in the city centre.
How do you photograph people in the city with just a camera so that the portraits look almost like professional studio shots?
As an association of several female Leica photographers, we have published our first magazine. In the first issue of the ‘Zine’, eight Leica photographers show their pictures, including Bettina Meister.
I am very proud that the editor-in-chief of the magazine ‘The Camera from Wetzlar’ asked me to write an article about the photo festival ‘Les Rencontres de la Photographie’ in Arles for the Leica anniversary issue.
The collective ‘#She_shoots_Leica’ reported on 25 July 2025 at the Leica Store Experience Days in Nuremberg.
The collective ‘#She_Shoots_Leica’ was founded in 2024 by Antje Huck and Anika Vehring. Less than a year later, more than 15 female Leica photographers from different countries are already part of it. Women with completely different styles of photography. What unites them all is their love of Leica cameras and photography. ‘Perspectives’ is the main motif with which the photographers answer the question of why they founded and are part of the women's collective.
A great honour for me as a photographer: 1 x Honorable Mention (Winner) and 2 x Nominee at the 18th International Color Awards. The jury of the International Colour Awards was made up of high-calibre international experts from the industry, the advertising sector and galleries. Only a few Germans convince with their work, this time I was one of them. Thank you.

The first dummy book is finished: 31 x 31 cm, 256 pages in German and English. Now it's time to keep my fingers crossed, because I've sent it to France for the Dummy Book Award at the Rencontres d' Arles. I would be delighted to be nominated. (The winner will be announced on 06.07.24 in Arles).
In the international photo magazine OPENEYE No. 36 there is a report on the photo series "Desert Love" by photographer Bettina Meister.
